Raised the way God intended.

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend it and keep it.”

GENESIS 2:15

THE HOWDY

Howdy, folks.

We’re the Platts, and this is our family farm in southeast Oklahoma. We raise beef and lamb the way we believe it ought to be raised.

Everybody stacks up the buzzwords: drug free, hormone free, regeneratively raised, grain free, grassfed, grassfinished, pasture raised. Yaddayadda. The shorter version is this: we raise it the way God intended.

We’d love for you to join us on our journey. Watch it through a screen for now, and maybe one day you’ll want to come see the operation with your own eyes.

HOW WE FARM

The product is downstream of the land.

Soil first. Everything else follows from it, so that’s where the work goes.

01

Tend it and keep it

High-diversity cool- and warm-season cover crop mixes, no-till drilled straight into living ground.

02

Swift rotation

Cattle and sheep moved quick across fresh pasture, with poultry rotated in behind them in chicken tractors.

03

Minerals, not pharmaceuticals

Sea-90 garlic sea salt, baking soda, kelp, the occasional dried clay conditioner with dried molasses. Fresh water plus a mineral tank of water, apple cider vinegar and garlic sea salt. No de-wormers, vaccines, hormones, implants, vitamin supplements or antibiotics.

04

Nothing added

Nothing goes on or in the meat but the packaging. That’s the whole ingredient list.

THE PART FOLKS SKIP

Grassfed and grassfinished.

Here’s the part that matters most, and the part most labels skip: finishing.

A lot of beef marked “grassfed” is finished on grain in the last stretch before harvest. That undoes much of the reason you went looking for grassfed in the first place.

Ours never sees grain. Grass from the first day to the last.
